Robert Pattinson might star in the upcoming Bong Joon Ho flick
After “Parasite“, let’s not deny that we all have been waiting for director Bong Joon Ho’s next. And it seems our wishes are finally coming true!
And what’s even better is our favourite Edward Cullen now Batman aka Robert Pattinson is in talks to star in the movie. Yay!
About the Parasite Director’s next project
According to the sources, the Korean director is planning to adapt sci-fi author Edward Ashton’s yet to be published book- Mickey7. Given his brilliance to portray anything with utmost creativity, it is safe to say that he will put his own twist to the script.
After Parasite dominated the Oscars back in 2019 where the movie won Best Picture and Joon Ho won the Best Director , reports say that Bong has taken his time to plan his projects.
Apparently, Bong was handed the manuscript of Ashton’s unpublished book sometime near the end of 2021 and the director was immediately interested.
This planned feature will be the second collaboration between Warner Bros and the Korean auteur, following the project of an HBO series based on Parasite where Bong will be the executive producer alongside Adam McKay.
Bong Joon Ho was very much impressed by Pattinson
After reading the manuscript of Mickey7, the South Korean movie industry giant met with some of the best A-listers in Hollywood and it was Robert Pattinson who stood out as the most impressive. Needless to say, we aren’t the slightest bit surprised.
Pattinson has been delivering some exceptionally strong performances for years like The Safdie Brothers’ Good Time in 2017, The Lighthouse in 2019, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and more.
Robert will be appearing next in the new Batman reboot , which is set to release in theatres on March 4. After the promising trailer, we are sure the actor will do justice to the role and in his upcoming projects.
