London based English rock band, The Rolling Stones was formed in 1962. The band was at the forefront of the British Invasion of bands that became popular in the United States in 1964. It has released successful albums throughout the 1970s and early 1980s. They have done live concerts in several places. Their ” No filter” tour was at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday night.
The Rolling Stones had scheduled first of the two shows at Metlife Stadium on Thursday night. NJ Transit had warned travellers. They could face a problem with travelling via train. Some riders complained that the agency cancelled regular trains as well. This was troublesome for many commuters. There were many who used that route on a daily basis.
What about the commuters? Things should have been planned in a better way to avoid such a situation. Some commuters complained about social media that cancelled trains collided with concert rail service. NJ service did not respond to the emails. It was the responsibility of NJ Transit to arrange bus and train for the concert. Any recklessness shown would have given trouble to many people.
The rail line added extra services after Sunday night concert at Levi’s Stadium. The rail line would now have a special train, which would leave after the concert. Concertgoers can catch Caltrain to the Mountain view station. All these arrangements have been done to make travelling more convenient for the commuters.
The service was coordinated with VTA light rail. Tickets were not sold onboard trains but could be purchased at ticket station. Alcoholic drinks were prohibited in the train. Passengers were recommended to use day pass to avoid crowding. These arrangements have been made just for the concert of one of the most loved bands. The crowd was massive and this arrangement ( extra rail line ) was mandatory.
