Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick joining the Boondock Saints 3
The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus and American Fighters actor Sean Patrick are reportedly coming back together to reprise their roles in the third Boondock Saints movie. Troy Duffy, who has directed the previous Boondock Saints films, is been trying to make a third part of the movie since the year 2014.
Boondock Saints franchise
The first movie which was released in 1999, follows two twin brothers named Conner and Murphy. They get inspired by a faith and start killing evil people in their hometown in purpose to clean the town. Soon they becomes controversial folk hero to the people. In Boondock Saints 2, which was released in 2009, the brothers flies to Boston to take revenge of the murder of one of their favourite priest. Both of the films are full of action.
Although the Boondock Saints 3’ storyline has not been disclosed yet but it is quite predictable that the film will continue the brothers’ story. Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick will reprise their role of Murphy MacManus and Connor MacManus respectively.
Reedus is widely known for playing Daryl in The Walking Dead and the actor is also currently working on the show’ last and eleventh season. On the other hand Sean Patrick worked in films like Powder, Born a Champion, American Fighter, The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Daredevils of the Desert, Lady Driver etc.
The production of the movie will start in May 2022. Shaun Redick, Yvette Yates Redick and Don Carmody will be producing the film.
Troy Duffy’s statement about the upcoming film
The director of the franchise said in a statement that, fans have always loved the MacManus brothers. After the 2nd Boondock Saints movie they were left curious about what happens next to the brothers. Both Reedus and Patrick are working hard to keep the franchise on track. Duffy added to his statement that fans nearly asks daily about the 3rd part of the movie. And now he is really excited to turn his dream of Boondock Saints 3 into reality.
