It is revealed that that famous actors like Brian d’Arcy James, Olivia Applegat, Mackenzie Astin, Adam Cropper and Bruce McGill is joining the cast of HBO Max’ upcoming crime drama series Love and Death.

About Love and Death

The upcoming crime series, by the makers of Big Little Lies and The Undoing, is based on a true event which took place in a small town Wylie, Texas. And it’s inspired by a book titled “Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs”. It also took reference from a pair of articles of Texas monthly.

The incident revolves around two churchgoing couples who seems to be friends until the day of 1980, when one of the wives Candy Montgomery murdered the other one Betty Gore with an axe.

In Love and Death, Elizabeth Olsen will be seen as Candy Montgomery, Krysten Ritter will play Sherry Cleckler’s role. Patrick Fugit will be playing Pat Montgomery, Jesse Plemons as Allan Gore, Keir Gilchrist will portray Pastor Ron Adams, Tom Pelphrey as Don Crowder, Elizabeth Marvel as Pastor Jackie Ponder, and Lily Rabe as Betty Gore.

What roles the newly revealed cast will play?

Brian d’Arcy James is a popular face from 13 Reasons Why, he will play Dr. Fred Fason. Olivia Applegat, Euphoria’ actress will seen as Carol Crowder. Adam Cropper was seen in Christopher Nolan’ Tenet, in Love and Death he will play Robert Udashen, Shades of Blue actor Bruce McGill will portray Judge Tom Ryan and Mackenzie Astin will be seen as Tom O’Connell.

Multiple Emmy Awards winner David E Kelly is the writer and co-producer of Love and Death while Lesli Linka Glatter will direct it. The crime drama is expected to hit HBO Max’ in 2022.
