Pennyworth: Overview
The prequel series of Batman, Pennyworth, features the life story of Bruce Wayne’s trusted butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon). The drama follows the story of the ex-SAS soldier, who later starts a security company in London during the 1960s. Eventually, he begins to work as a security for Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), a young billionaire.
No doubt that the series was indeed efficient in giving some shocking twists to the Batman saga. Not to mention season 2’s boozy finale, where Thomas’s wife Martha gives birth to a baby girl. Apart from Jack Bannon and Ben Aldridge, the series also features Emma Paetz as Martha Kane, Bruce Wayne’s future mother.
