‘The Hustler’, William Leonard Roberts II, professionally known as Rick Ross, is an American rapper and a record executive. Rick Ross has finally launched the much-anticipated sequel of his 2006 debut album Port of Miami. The 2006 collection debuted at the top spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart, with sales at 187,000 units during the first week.
The Maybach Music Group head honcho confirmed about the project’s release last month. Coincidently, the sequel is also releasing in the same month in which the debut was released. Ross subsequently revealed its star-studded tracklist.
Pusha-T’s name missing from the list?
The album is multi-flavoured this time. Where it has previously released tracks like “Act of Fool,” “Big Tyme,” “Gold Roses,” and “Turnpike Ike”, it has also got some of the best guest appearances by Drake, Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Teyana Taylor, Swizz Beatz, Wale, and Nipsey Hussle. However, there is one artist that is noticeably absent from the album, that is the very famous Pusha-T who was to appear on “Mayback VI” with his years-long adversary Wayne. Also, Weezy and King Push are on the same track.
The final version of “Maybach Music VI” does include Wayne’s verse as well as a contribution from John Legend, who is handling the chorus. At this time, it is unclear why Pusha did not cut.
Though Ross has not released an album since 2017’s Rather You Than Me, he has stayed busy as ever. He contributed a verse to Drake’s recent track “Money in the Grave,” and made a surprise appearance at OVO Fest earlier this week. He has also announced a new memoir, Hurricanes, co-written with Neil Martinez-Belkin, who previously co-wrote Gucci Mane’s autobiography. Last year, Rick dropped “Green Gucci Suit” with Future as a one-off.The album is undoubtedly going to be a blockbuster again. Ross has always made it possible what the audience thought no one else could do. The album will surely do a great business again and might even make a much bigger collection than 2006.
