Two singing icons treated their fans with a duet performance of them on Tuesday.
It was a dream come true moment for Grande when she got an opportunity to perform with her childhood idol Barbara Streisand at her Chicago concert on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old pop sensation made a surprise entry on the stage performing Barbara’s 1979 duet single ‘No more tears’ with the icon herself at her concert. Reportedly, the performance opened to a rave cheering from the crowd. People went berserk at this surprise. Watching the two music sensations from two generations together performing was a surreal experience for every music lover.
Streisand had dropped a hint for her fans when she posted a picture of their manicured hands on Instagram page captioned, “Made a new friend,” but the thought of them duetting hadn’t remotely crossed the mind of anyone. And it’s not only the fans who were exhilarated; Grande hasn’t got over the moment herself.
Overwhelmed with happiness, she tweeted describing her varied emotions on getting a chance to perform with the 77-year-old Emmy award winner who has been her music idol since forever.

The feelings are mutual as Streisand uploaded a backstage picture with Grande telling what a pleasurable experience it was for her.
The numero uno fan that Grande is was quick to reply, “I am sobbing. Love you so much. I can’t get over this. It’s just…. the most special and cherished experience ever. Thank you”, and reposted the same picture for her 64M followers on Twitter. And Streisand has also expressed her likeness for Grande through several pictures that she has posted of them.
It was one incredible moment for all the fans, including Ariana Grande herself. We hope that we are blessed with such surprises in the near future, too.
