Fans will be heartbroken to know that the young and gifted Masterchef contestant, Ben Watkins died at a very young age of 14. He was fighting cancer and fans are still in shock that the culinary world lost a rising star in the making.
MasterChef Contestant Ben Watkins Died At The Age Of 14
Ben managed to gain attention after he starred in the sixth season of the popular cooking reality show back in 2018, he was suffering from angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma, which is a soft tissue tumor. Ben was getting cured at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Gordon Ramsay also remembered the young star and took to social media to express his feelings over the loss.
Sadly enough this disease is an extremely rare one and Ben was one of the six people in the world who are suffering from this life-threatening cancer. He was an extremely talented and gifted young boy who had excellent culinary skills. His uncle and legal guardian, Anthony Edwards mourned the little boy’s death and said that while he went through such a painful procedure, Ben never complained.

He Gained Attention After Being A Part Of The Sixth Season.
Ben Watkins already had a rough and painful childhood, his father killed his mother back in 2017 and then killed himself in a murder-suicide case. Despite having such a painful past, Ben has always been a happy while and his culinary skills were surely special for such a young child.

Ben’s uncle remembered the young boy as a gifted child who was happy and was patient through the whole process. We would always remember how Ben spread joy and love through his recipes and that is the biggest joy one can spread.
