Victoria’s Secret Hires Its First Plus Size Model After being Reprimanded For Its Lack Of Inclusivity! Find Out Here About The Model & Much More…

Who doesn’t love Victoria’s Secret? It is again making headlines, for the first time featuring a Plus Size model for its campaign.

Victoria’s Secret hired Ali Tate-Cutler, a brunette beauty, as a model, in collaboration with UK based lingerie company, Bluebella.

The gorgeous brunette model, Cutler also shared her picture on the Instagram handle, in Bluebella for VS lingerie. With the caption, ‘I believe I’m the first size 14 on Victorias Secret. Regardless I am pretty stoked to work with a brand I idolized when I was a teen. A great step in the right direction for bodies.’

She revealed that her new project felt surreal. She always wanted to pose next to top models.

“When I went in today to VS store for the launch of the collaboration it felt surreal”, she said. “I never expected that I was going to see an image of myself on the wall next to these supermodels that I have been looking up to since I was a little girl”, she further added.

Cutler is quite excited for her VS shoot as well as for the step towards the body-positivity message. So that each shape and size feel welcome and special.

“When a girl is walking through a store, she can look & find a body like mine, size 14 & be like ‘she looks like me’ and ‘I want to buy that now’ and I feel touched that I would be a part of that journey for someone”, she shared on VS Instagram story.

It’s a great step towards inclusivity, to address all kinds of shapes and sizes, but it came to Victoria’s Secret after being picked up for their lack of body messaging. Now, they want to come out as a fresh brand after their shortfall.

In August also, VS hired its first transgender model, Valentina Sampaio.

The new Victoria’s Secret merchandise will be available in selected VS stores, on both the continents and in online stores.
