National depression screening day is held every year in the first week of October to educate people about the various mental health problems and help them to connect to various helpline and treatment options. The screening is held globally in various colleges, organizations, hospitals, and even in militaries.

The program’s main aim is to give free education about depression anxiety disorder, panic attacks, and various post-traumatic stress disorder. Screenings are held both online and offline. The online screening may not be conducted by professionals, but it gives an idea of symptoms of the illness, how to cure them, and information about various treatment centers.
