While Oscars this year had some pleasant moments to cherish. Will Smith is guilty of having his spat with award presenter Chris Rock for the 94th Academy Awards. Owing to a joke on Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Will couldn’t hold his anger and went on stage to punch Chris Rock on his face. But is he regretting his actions now?

Chris Rock was presenting an award at the Oscars when he made a joke on Jada Pinkett Smith’s hairstyle. Will hearing it couldn’t hold back and went to slap Rock in front of everyone and even yelled at him at Oscars. But it seems like now Will is regretting what he did.

Will recently announced his resignation via a statement issued where he regretted his actions with Chris Rock. He called his conduct at the Oscars as “Shocking, painful and inexcusable”. He further added that he is willing to accept any other punishment for his misconduct decided by the organization.

While the Men In Black actor had a spat with Chris Rock. Moments later he won Oscars for best actor (King Richard). Following which he issued a statement of apologies and resignation from the Academy Awards. Academy Awards has as such accepted his resignation for the misconduct at the awards.

Meanwhile, David Rubin, the President of Academy Awards has stated that they would move forward with the necessary actions which would be taken against Smith for violating the rules of conduct for the Academy Awards in advance to their board meetings that is scheduled to happen on 18th April.

Not to miss, Smith in his statement has apologized to all the nominees of the Oscars for spoiling their celebration day.
