It is confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will be released in 2020. Here is everything we know about the game so far.
Call Of Duty Game
Call of Duty is a shooter video game franchise which is published by Activision. The game was released in 2003 and it first focused on games set in World War II. Over time, the series evolved and has seen games set midst of the Cold War, futuristic worlds, and outer space. The game series was first developed by Infinity Ward. The most recent title of the series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released on October 25, of last year (2019).
Call Of Duty was originally focused on the World War II setting when Infinity Ward first released it in 2003. Until February 2016, the series has sold over 250 million copies of the game.
2020’s Call Of Duty
Activision, the game publisher has confirmed that a new Call of Duty game is all set to be released in 2020. But there is no official announcement about which team is developing the title.
Since 2005, Activision has managed to launch a new Call of Duty game every year. There are 4 Activision studios currently which are associated with Call of Duty development. The are Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Raven Software, and Sledgehammer Games. The first two studios have been mainstays, while the latter two studios initially served as support studios.
2020’s Call of Duty doesn’t have a subtitle and there is no announcement about where the game setting will be. But it is expected that it will be Black Ops 5 set in the Cold War. The game makers have assured that it will be more thriller than any other parts of the Call of duty game series.
