Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is back onstage
This year’s Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony has arrived at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. 2021’ Rock And Roll group includes popular faces like Tina Turner, Carole King, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Christina Aguilera and more.
The ceremony opening
The ceremony was opened by American popstar Taylor Swift on October 30, who inducted Carole King by performing her one of the most popular song “Will You Love Me Tomorrow?”.
Swift’ speech made the four time Grammy winner singer Carole’ eyes almost teary. Swift said that she don’t even remember when she did not know King’ music. Her speech also made Carole laugh when she gave a shout out to the cat featured on the Tapestry album cover. Carole also thanked the singer for carrying the torch forward.
Cool J and Eminem onstage together
On the same day Eminem owned the stage when he performed along with LL Cool J, one of hip-hop’ first superstar in the 1980s. Cool J also performed with Jennifer Lopez.
The 81-years-old Turner did not attend the Rock And Roll ceremony. However, via a video message she said that if she is still receiving an award in the age of 81, she must have done something right. She was inducted by actress Angela Bassett. Christina Aguilera paid tribute to Turner by performing onstage of Rock And Roll ceremony.
Only those artists, whose first recording has completed 25 years of release are eligible to be inducted in the ceremony. Last year the ceremony was held virtually due to Covid situation. 2021’ Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony is first time taking place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Nearly 12,000 people can witness the live ceremony at the Fieldhouse. Others have to wait till its release. They can watch the it on HBO and HBO Max on November 20.
