Kaepernick’s Activism and Career

The production for the series began in July 2020. This will not be the first time that this former quarterback will tell his story. Back in October, he was an executive producer for the Netflix series “Colin in Black & White”. Kaepernick also played himself in the Netflix series. “Colin in Black & White”, follows the initial years of his life and the experiences that made him become an activist. This Netflix also explores the topic of race and culture struggles.

Apart from being a quarterback, and playing six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL, he is also an activist. He started kneeling during the national anthem, to push back against police brutality and racism. After this Kaepernick parted ways from the NFL. Furthermore, he also claimed that NFL was planning to keep him out. Later, in 2019, he met with the NFL midway.
