Shocking! Matthew Perry made unexpected confessions about stealing medications from open houses!

While battling addiction, Matthew Perry admits to swiping medicine cabinets at open houses

Matthew Perry, 53, disclosed it all in his memoir “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.” He had made the startling admission that, when he was on drugs, he had gone to open houses to steal medications. He even admitted that he faked migraines and went to a lot of doctors in order to satisfy his daily habit of taking 55 Vicodin.

His strangest behavior, according to him, was to examine the medications in bathrooms and open households and even to steal them. Since he was well known at the time thanks to his famous portrayal of  Chandler in Friends, he claimed that no home owners would have doubted him since they would have believed that Chandler wouldn’t steal from us.

The Beginning of Addiction

After getting hurt in an accident, Matthew Perry was given Vicodin in 1997, which marked the beginning of his drug addiction. He equated the first dose of the drug as shooting honey into his veins. But his drinking addiction actually began much earlier, when he was just 14 years old and participating in a Canadian friend’s passage ceremony.

Perry claimed that the wine felt just like heaven after consuming the full bottle, and he believed that everyone would have felt the same sensation.

He even admitted to drinking daily when he was just 18 years old. He tried to conceal his addiction from others around him after being cast as Chandler at the age of 24. He disclosed that he was consuming 55 painkillers daily, which caused him to gain 128 pounds during the peak of his addiction.

A Difficult Time After His Colon Burst

Matthew Perry even made the shocking disclosure in an interview with Sawyer that he had spent 66 times in detox, gone to 6,000 sessions of Alcoholics Anonymous, and sought treatment 15 times.

He spent five months in the hospital recovering after his colon burst three years ago, was in a coma for 14 days, and even managed to get through 14 surgeries after almost dying. He used a colostomy bag and woke up “50 to 60” times covered in faeces.

Matthew Perry claimed that he had s*** on his face, body, and bed. They needed to get nurses when it broke and even stated that people who couldn’t handle having an ileostomy bag had committed suicide often.

“Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir” would be released on November 1st.
