It came as a shock when Paulina Porizkova’s husband Ric Ocasek died in September 2019. They had been married for 30 years.
Her pain further escalated when she came to know that Ric cut her out of his will. She was cut out of The Cars member’s will apparently because she was not faithful to him and abandoned him.
In a recent interview with CBS This Morning, which is also her first TV interview since her husband’s passing the 54 year old supermodel said that the move made by her late husband was rather cold and the process of grieving is really tricky.
PageSix had seen his will which said that he had made no provision for his wife Paulina Porizkova as they were in the process of divorcing. It further read that if he would die before the divorce were final. Paulina would not be entitled to any elective share, because she had apparently abandoned him.
The divorce had not yet been finalized ever since their separation back in 2017.
However it seems that she might not have really abandoned Ric as Paulina was the one who found Ric after he died. Apparently she was bringing him his morning coffee as he needed help after a newly done surgery.
Porizkova told Mason that finding her husband dead was the worst moment of her life.
After 75 year old musician died she said in a statement that she ‘touched his cheek to rouse him’ from sleep but then she found out that he was no more. She, Jonathan and Oliver, their sons were making sure he was comfortable and she was ordering food and watching TV together.
He died from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
In the interview with CBS Paulina also talked about being a middle-aged woman in the show-biz industry.
