Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost pair up for a special project
Super Bowl always tries to come up with innovative, entertaining ads. And people watch these ads with as much interest as they watch the actual game. Similarly, the year 2022 delivered as well.
Scarlett Johansson and her real life spouse Colin Jost teamed up for the latest Super Bowl commercial featuring Amazon’s Alexa. The 1 minute and 30 seconds commercial titled “Mind Reader” released ahead of the major game.
The cute couple gets candid in the Alexa ad
The commercial gives a cute and funny insight into the Black Widow star’s marriage with her spouse. The commercial starts off with the duo all set to watch a football game. Jost announces that it’s game day and Alexa starts handling different tasks like chilling the wine and dimming the lights to set the mood.
The popular Amazon device does some “mind reading” as we get to see several funny daily-life scenarios between the husband and wife. Alexa portrays the Saturday Night Live writer’s feelings regarding his wife’s morning breath and her acting. On the other hand, the hilarious montage also shows Scarlett’s annoyance on her husband’s topics of conversation.
At one point when Jost asks his wife regarding her thoughts on shooting intimate scenes with attractive co-stars, Johannson quickly answers “It’s the worst”. Alexa immediately points out her bluff by playing the Fleetwood Mac song “Little lies”.
The entire commercial is extremely funny and entertaining, so say the least.
This was the couple’s first ad together
This is the first time we saw the Lucy actress and her husband in an ad spot together. Furthermore, Joe Shoesmith, Amazon’s executive director, explained that they were looking for a married couple for the project who would be comfortable and play the humor well in the project.
And boy did Johansson and Jost deliver!
The two tied the knot in October 2020 and welcomed their first child in August 2021.
