Waypoints (The new memoir): Sam Heughan recalls the audition with Caitriona Balfe
Scottish actor Sam Heughan is also an author, producer and an entrepreneur, who is best known for his role in Outlander as Jamie Fraser. He has also been awarded for his acting skills with People’s Choice Award and many more awards.
With a pretty smile and hot body Heughan also writes his memoir and many interesting things are being revealed of his personality. In the recent memoir, he details out the intense audition with Caitriona Balfe.
Sam talks about chemistry
The 42-year-old actor Sam mentions in his book about the chemistry with the character in Outlander was a key part to be attached with the role of Claire and it happened quite quickly with Caitriona.
He recalls the famous scene in the episode “The Reckoning”, and talks about the enduring love, the two characters had and can be quite antagonistic in their relationship. In the heat of that moment, born from love and frustration, they literally began tearing at each other until the director called time on them.He further added by saying, ” It was intense, physically and emotionally.” It left them breathless, the actor expressed. He further writes about the intimate scene they had in which Catriona was wrapped in Sam’s arms and then they both knew that Jamie and Claire had just come into existence together.
Sam Heughan felt to be a little protective towards Catriona Balfe in her breakout as an actor
Sam Heughan further mentioned about being protective for her by writing about a big leap for her. “I felt that I needed to be protective towards her, as supportive as Jamie is with Claire” ,he added. He also said that, In some ways, it seems as if that dynamic developed between them as actors and then went on to amplify and be explored in front of the cameras.
