Big Fan of Marvel, Ms. Marvel Stars had a bashing Halloween Party in Marvel Outfits
One of the more intriguing developments in the promotion for Disney+’s next MCU series, Iman Vellani, star of “Ms. Marvel,” has revealed her Halloween costume, which is that of Kamala Khan. The Halloween picture was taken when Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani was 15, three years before being cast as Kamala Khan/Ms.
Iman Vellani loves the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it makes sense she would be spending her Halloween weekend dressing as the franchise. Since landing her role in “Ms. Marvel,” Iman Vellani has made it known that she is the biggest fan of Marvel Cinematic Universe on Earth, beyond being one of its new stars.
Yasmeen Fletcher, co-star of Vellani in Ms. Marvel, dressed up as different sides of Iron man for the festivities. She took to Instagram to post all the amazing Halloween celebration moments from the said play of costumes. Playing Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark, Vellani has completed her attire with a blank tank top and goatee whereas Fletcher dressed up as LEGO Iron Man.
Vellani’s Kamala Khan has a big Marvel future ahead. According to a report from comicbook, she probably will appear next year in THE MARVELS, a sequel to Captain Marvel.
If you think about it, it is quite astounding that MCUs latest leading lady once had to teach people about who Kamala Khan was, and now is the one bringing the character to life in an expanding franchise, making sure other Kamala fans can dress up like her for Halloween, and they will all recognise their costumes immediately.
Now, she is trading in that hand-made costume for the real deal, as Vellani makes her hero’s debut as the lead in Disney+s Ms. Marvel. With the premiere episode of Ms. Marvel now available, EW caught up with Vellani to chat about her journey into the Marvel Universe.
Ms. Marvel has given Iman Vellani a new window into his culture, helping her to discover hip-hop acts like Swet Shop Boys (one of the members of that duo is British actor Riz Ahmed) and Pakistani musicians like Hasan Rahim, Talal Qureshi, and the duo known as The Justin Bibis (who were discovered after their cover of Justin Bieber’s “Baby” went viral in Pakistan).
