After the tremendous success of season one and season two, viewers are eagerly waiting for Season 3 of Mindhunter. But they have to wait longer because the Director- David Fincher- of this dark thriller series has clarified that the shooting has not started yet as he is busy in another biopic named Mank.

All the star cast of Mind Hunter has been released from their contract so that they can do their works on other projects. It means that the director has no plan of Season 3 in the year 2020.

Earlier, season one and two of this series caught the attention of the audience on Netflix and all the cast was appreciated by the viewers. It also got positive reviews from critics. This web series is based on Book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI elite crime unit authored by John E Douglas and Mark Olshaker.

Release date of Mindhunter Season 3.

Season one and two were released in the year 2017 and 2019. So, viewers are expecting that season three will be launched in the year 2021. Season 3 is likely to come up in the year 2022.

 The Storyline of Mindhunter. 

Mindhunter typically hovers around FBI agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Geoff) and Bill trench (Holt Mccallany) along with Wendy Carr (Anna Torv). They try to investigate the case of serial killers by understanding the way serial killers think and solve ongoing cases.
In Season 1, which talked about the period between 1977 and 1980 there was a serial killer named Edmond kemper, who helped the FBI to solve criminal cases.

Season 2 is set around the 1980s which is based on Atlanta murder. This case was based on the real-life of Wayne William, who was charged for the murder of two men but never found guilty of killing around 28 people which included children.
