Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio’s first look from their upcoming movie ‘Don’t Look Up’

The Netflix sci-fi comedy boasts a star-studded cast as well

Some on-set images of Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio for their upcoming Netflix movie Don’t Look Up has been released.

The movie has a stellar cast that also includes Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Ariana Grande among others.

Lawrence was spotted with with red hair with a fringe for her role in the movie while DiCaprio was spotted wearing glasses and had a pointy beard. Both actors were wearing visors on their face so as to maintain caution during the pandemic.

Story and other cast members

The story is about two astronauts, from which one is Lawrence – who are trying to warn the rest of humanity that an asteroid is plummeting towards them and wipe everyone out in six months.

If you thought that the movie had a cast of A-listers, then we’re not done yet. Other stars include Leo’s close friend Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Timothée Chalamet, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and Himesh Patel. Adam McKay, known for Anchorman, will be writing and directing the film.

McKay had already spoken about his excitement in working with Lawrence when the movie was announced in February. He said that she was what people in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite talent.’

Aside from being a sci-fi and political satire, the movie is also a satire, and McKay said since Netflix sees it that way, the bar has been raised for him and his team in a great way. At that Netflix film boss Scott Stuber spoke highly about Adam, saying he was always great at making smart, relevant and irrelevant films that show our culture.

The movie is currently set to release in 2021 but the exact date is still unknown.
