HBO Max’s animated series Gen: LOCK gets the release date for Season 2!

The rise of animated series is on the next level! Another animated series is coming back with a new season. HBO Max’s animated series gen: LOCK is coming with a new season. The second season will be released at the beginning of November, as announced by official Twitter account.

The Michael B. Jordan led series is slated to arrive on 4th November. The series will be available on Rooster Teeth 90 days after it makes its debut on HBO Max. In October 2019, it was confirmed that the show was renewed for the second season. But the premiere date was not announced until today. 

Synopsis of the new season

gen: LOCK series is produced by Rooster Teeth and Michael B Jordan’s Outlier Production. Set in the dystopian future, The new season is described by Rooster teeth as now that the future of Earth is collapsing. Two different versions of the human race Polity and Union have come to dominate. The future of humanity is in the hands of digitization. 

The synopsis continues by saying that the war is being lost by Polity despite the efforts of their soldiers. The gen: LOCK team Chase, Yaz, Val, Kazu, and Cammie. They continue to upload their minds to the Holon Units so that they can fight for a better future. The conflict between Union and Polity will be seen in a new light. This new scenario will test Chase’s loyalty towards Polity and as he digs deeper he realises nothing is as it seems.

The series stars Michael B. Jordan, Maisie Williams, David Tennant, Dakota Fanning, Asia Kate Dillion, Gray Haddock, and Koichi Yamadera.
