Bob Saget, Comedian and Star of ‘Full House’ Dies at 65

Former co-stars and family paid their tribute

Bob Saget, best known for playing Danny Tanner in Full House and its sequel show Fuller House has died. He was 65.

Bob Saget was found dead in his hotel room in the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday, as per the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. They were alerted after getting a call from an unresponsive man in a hotel room. They pronounced him dead on the scene and added that no signs of drugs or foul play were found. The Saget family shared that they are devastated. They said that he loved entertaining his fans, performing comedy shows live, and bringing people from all walks of life together. Requesting their privacy, they thanked all his fans and requested them to remember him and his work.

Bob is survived by his wife Kelly Rizzo, who he married in 2018, along with his three adult daughters and their mother, his ex-wife Sherri Kramer. The actor received tributes from all over the industry, with John Stamos, his Full House co-star being one of the first.

The 58-year-old actor John Stamos, who had played Jesse Katsopolis for nearly 200 episodes next to Bob Saget said that he was “gutted” to hear the news of one of his best friends dying so suddenly. “I will never have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby,” Stamos wrote on Twitter.

Shortly after, Candace Cameron Bure, who played his daughter DJ Tanner in the show also expressed her sadness and shock, and called him “one of the best human beings I’ve ever known in my life.”

Bob Saget’s cause of death is currently unknown, but that will be determined soon enough. After Betty White, this is the second loss this year.
