It’s going to be equipped with 16 cores, 32 threads, and goes up to 4.8 GHz
We are getting closer to the launch of Zen 3, and it’s going to determine if AMD can triumph over its rival Intel as far as gaming is concerned. If reports from Igor’s Lab can’t be authentic, then the Ryzen 9 is going to have a 16-core/ 32-thread CPU similar to the 3950X, but the boost frequency has been increased to 4.8 GHz. It’s an increase of just 100 MHz, but since it was derived from an engineering sample, the final product is expected to deliver more, reaching somewhere close to Intel’s 5GHz chips. AMD has had more cores than Intel but with the help of Chipzilla, Intel has taken the top spot in gaming.

New Series of Gaming Chips
The names for the new series of chips haven’t been revealed, as chances of it belonging to the 4000-series seem low, since AMD uses it for the Zen 2-based APUs, which includes the Ryzen 9 4900HS and Ryzen 5 4500U. This may be the time for them to debut their 5000 series. That would make the latest chip the Ryzen 5950X.
However, we haven’t received word about their upcoming Zen 3 desktop CPUs, but a major boost is expected. Also, a previous leak stated that the Ryzen 4000 CPUs are going to deliver 15 to 17% better IPC compared to their predecessors, so that’s something to look forward to.
