Girls’ Track and Field Results
The Blue Earth Area track teams competed in the five-team Worthington Invitational Track Meet on Tuesday, April 22.
Notable Individual Achievements
Taylor Ripley’s distance of 30-8.25 in the shot put was good for third place. In the discus, Ada Ziegler had a personal-best throw of 82-10 to finish in fifth place.
Addison Smith cleared the bar in the high jump at 4-6 to finish in fourth place. Tailor Douglas finished second in the pole vault when she went over the bar at a height of 8-6.
Kyannah Brandt’s leap of 14-0.5 was good for a second-place finish in the long jump. Sarah Dohm captured third place in the triple jump while her teammate, Sidney Eitzmann, finished in fourth place.
Aubrey Woodwick crossed the finish line with a personal-best time of 1:08.94 in the 400-meter dash to finish in sixth place. Woodwick placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:46.18.
Relay Teams in Action
Aaliyah Worden, Isabella Nava, Grace Nelson and Smith crossed the finish line in 59.01 in the 4×100-meter relay to finish in fifth place. Worden, Natalie Schiltz, Smith and Nelson finished sixth in the 4×200-meter relay with a time of 2:06.97.
Schiltz, Madie Redepenning, April Garcia and Lola Faulhaber were fifth in the 4×400-meter relay. Their time was 5:06.61.
Field Event Highlights
Dohm covered a distance of 29-3.75, which was her best of the season. Eitzmann’s distance was 28-3. Brandt completed the 100-meter hurdles in 20.53 to finish in sixth place.
