You might want to take some winter fashion tips from the Duchess of Cambridge.
Duchess of Cambridge dazzled at the reception held in the Buckingham Palace as she put on a showstopper display in a winter evening gown from Needle & Thread as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted a reception at the royal palace on the behalf of her Highness on Monday, 20th January.
She chose an elegant shimmering long-sleeved for the chilly January evening in London. Kate Middleton’s attire as she joined her husband Prince William, for the UK-Africa Investment Summit- a conference to encourage the trade and investments between the two continents, was from the emerging British brand, Needle & Thread. It was a tulle, full-sleeved, mid-length gown with fused layers and had red sequins embellished all over it.
There couldn’t have been a better representation for the event than the new emerging England brand which is notable for its hand-woven, vogue evening wears but at very affordable prices. The Aurora style outfit from the Label that the Duchess picked up was just over £500 which she paired up with a pair of matching Gianvito Rossi heels and a geometric clutch of the same colour to complete her blowout look.
This was Prince William’s first solo reception as Prince Harry has withdrawn from his role in the royal monarchy. It came a day after as Duke of Sussex flew back to Canada to be with his family after discussing his resignation with the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William. A day before, Prince Harry had delivered an emotional speech about the decision of surrendering the royal titles.
Prince William delivered a speech at the event where he talked about his personal connection and fondness for Africa, including a sweet part about proposing to Middleton in Kenya, and hoping to encourage trade and investment and build a staunch business relationship between the two continents.
Duke and Duchess were accompanied by other royal family members, Prince Edward, his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Princess Anne, however, like the Queen, Prince Charles too wasn’t at the Summit.
A bunch of pictures from the night made their way on social media through Kensington Royal Instagram Page where details about the event were shared and explained.
