The Owners trailer is here and it seems Maisie Williams’ home invasion has gone horribly wrong! Check it out.

The movie promises an intense story of a home invasion going horribly wrong

The trailer of the upcoming movie The Owners set up the movie’s premise clearly – it’s about a group of friends, led by Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams who decide to rob a house with a safe that’s full of money while the owners are away. But while they are carrying out their mission, they hear the elderly people who live in the house returning earlier than planned. What they thought to be a harmless couple soon start dictating their lives.

Cast and Crew

The movie has been produced by RLJE Films and is directed by Julius Berg and this will be his first movie. The screenplay has been written by Berg, Mathieu Compel, and Geoff Cox. Berg has previously directed episodes for many French series, most of which are available on Netflix.

The cast, aside from Williams, will include Jake Curran, Ian Kenny, Andrew Ellis, Sylvester McCoy, Rita Tushingham, and Stacha Hicks.

Upon seeing the trailer, we can’t help but notice an uncanny resemblance between The Owners and 2016’s Don’t Breathe, which did well at the box office. The premise for the two movies are similar, where a group of youngsters decide to rob a house which they thought had harmless residents, but soon things spiral out of control. But while Don’t Breathe was more of a thriller, where the three robbers try to hide and stay quiet so that the blind assassin in the house doesn’t hear or sense them, The Owners edges more to the horror section as the elderly couple are seen to be far from normal.
