The South Texas Chapter: A History of Excellence and Innovation
Each year, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) hosts two meetings that focus on the interplay between technology and surgery and surgical education. This year’s events are coming up soon in Chicago, Illinois, with the Surgical Simulation Summit taking place March 20–21 and Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation Meeting taking place immediately following, March 22–23. The meeting began with a welcome reception on Thursday, which allowed for networking and fellowship among the attendees. Eight residencies from the South Texas Chapter area sent teams, and the participation was very enthusiastic.
