Season two of the anthology series packs more star power
It has been over a year since the Primetime Emmy Award-winning series The White Lotus premiered. The star-studded series takes place in the titular holiday resort where mysterious things happen. The series is now back with its second season, and the premiere was last night. Let’s take a look at how it went.
The White Lotus Season 2 Story
The location has changed from Hawaii to the beautiful coastline of Sicily. However, the beauty fades away soon enough. Daphne (Meghann Fahy) is taking a dip in the water before finishing up her stay at The White Lotus. However, she sees something in the water and, feeling scared, swims off as fast as possible.
Within a short time, other guests at The White Lotus also see several dead bodies coming ashore. The hotel manager Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore) learns about this and says the water is not hotel property, but at the same time, such an event cannot be covered from the outside world. This was the introduction. We are then taken a week before the tragedy and see guests arriving by boat at the resort. A scene from the first season, where employees greet them as they disembark, is shown – a tradition of the resort.
The new cast members include Theo James, who plays Daphne’s husband Cameron, Aubrey Plaza and Will Sharpe, who plays another couple named Harper and Ethan, Dominic (Michael Imperioli), a single parent traveling with his father Bert (F. Murray Abraham) and son Albie (Adam DiMarco). Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries, who played Tanya and Greg McQuoid in the first season, have crossed over to season two as well.
The rest of the episode passes on with relative normalcy.
Watch The White Lotus streaming Sunday nights at 9 pm on HBO and HBO Max.
