PS5 enhanced performance patch is available now!
The Last of Us part 2 developed by Naughty dog has been available for almost a year now and had launched a new update for the game. It comes as a surprise to the users as it was not advertised before.
Overall if we see, the new update, version 1.09 doesn’t do much. This might appeal to certain users but not as much to the major players or influence their experience. The patch notes state that the update contains general bug fixes and enhancements. But, the update as a whole is rather tiny, weighing in at little under 100MB.
While the update is rather tiny this doesn’t mean the update doesn’t do anything or hasn’t been improved since its debut last year. The PlayStation team made an update for the game a little over a month ago that enhanced its performance on PlayStation 5. Although this patch does not make use of several of the next-generation platform’s main capabilities, it does allow the game to operate at a steady 60 frames per second.
More Updates?
There aren’t any speculations about any further updates or fixes for the last part 2. Naughty dog is said to be currently working on a new multiplayer project that appears to be set in the universe of The Last of Us. In Addition to the new update, a remake of the original game is anticipated to be in the works and it might be released on PS5 in the future.
But, for the time being, the game is only available on PS4 and PS5. If the game is anything like Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding, perhaps a “Director’s Cut” version of the title will be released for PS5 in the future.
