SAG Awards was about an award, lots of roasting and ex-wives for Brad Pitt
The year 2020 has already been the year of the decade for the actor Brad Pitt who is earning accolades in the form of the awards at all the award functions for his acting chops in Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood.
The 56-year-old actor swept the award Best Supporting Actor for Cliff Booth at Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, 19th January. The actor started his speech by thanking his co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, Margot Robbie’s feet, Margaret Qualley’s feet, Dakota Fanning’s feet, funnily. “Quentin has separated more women from their shoes than the TSA,” he joked.
Adding self-deprecating humour to his speech, drawing resemblance with the wash-out character, Cliff Booth, Pitt continued that with all honesty, it was a difficult role. “A guy who gets high, takes his shirt off, and doesn’t get on with his wife, the actor chuckled “It was a big stretch,” earning a roar of laughter from the crowd. The comment was a jibe at his relationship with the former wife, Angelina Jolie.
And in the hall filled with celebrities, the camera naturally panned towards Jennifer Aniston to capture her reaction who too couldn’t help but smile and clap at Pitt’s humour. Adding some more jokes, the actor continued that he would be joking about his win on the dating app and he would add this to his profile on tinder.
He ultimately concluded the speech on a serious note by talking the craft, art and struggle of acting. “Enjoy the evening,” he added, “cause tomorrow it’s back to work.”
After collecting the award, Pitt made his way to the backstage when a BTS video showed Pitt halting everything to take a moment and look at Jennifer Aniston thank you speech as the actress won Best Actress in a drama series for ‘The Morning Show’. Pitt was watching Aniston through the screen at the backstage with rapt attention, laughing and smiling away at her exuberant and quirky acceptance speech.
However, that was not all as the fans of the former couple were in for a bigger treat as the duo met on the red carpet at backstage holding their trophies in hands. They were snapped by the tabloids greeting each other smiling widely. it was a brief interaction as Aniston quickly left after hugging and shaking hands with him.

With the separation of Aniston and Pitt from their respective partners, rumors for their reunion were going rounds about which none of them has really talked. We don’t know if the two popular actors who were once our golden couple would get back together romantically, but we certainly loved the warm exchange between the two, hoping for the bond to stay and prosper.
