Why the legal fight is still on between Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard? Are we missing something??

Even after three years of their divorce, actor Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard are still in the headlines because of their continuous legal battle. The recent development is that Johnny Depp and his attorney has now decided to summon Pineapple Express star James Franco over a CCTV footage in which he was found entering an elevator with Amber Hear after she reportedly fought with Depp.

Depp and Heard got married in February 2015, at the age of 51 and 28, respectively. Soon, in May 2016, Amber filed for divorce from Johnny. And a week later, filed a domestic violence restraining order against her then-husband, Depp. This order was granted. Pictures of bruises on her face went viral, and then in August 2016, a video also went viral. In the video, Depp was seen throwing a wine bottle and glass. Heard accused Depp of physical and verbal abuse.

Later in December 2016, Depp requested Heard for a sum of $100,000 in court sanctions. Depp’s Legal team claimed Heard’s domestic violence accuse to be a publicity stunt, which she did for fame. On the other hand, Heard’s attorney just called it another move of Depp and his team for saving themselves from paying what they owed to Heard.

Heard responded to Depp’s request in January 2017, stating that she wants to free herself from Depp as soon as possible. Finally, the couple was granted the divorce in the same month.

But in 2018, both the celebs bashed each other in front of media, of course without mentioning each other’s name.

Now coming to the present year, in January 2019, Depp’s attorney came up with evidence claiming that it was Heard who harassed Depp (vice versa to what Heard alleged). And in March 2019, Depp filed a defamation lawsuit of $50 million against Heard.

Heard filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in April 2019, and detailed her experience of abuse with Depp. Depp also submitted a declaration to support his trial in May 2019.
And then comes the latest development, to summon James Franco in July 2019.
