“What We Do In The Shadows” Season 4: What Will the Vampire Mocumentary Bring in its Next Outing?

The story can pick up after Nandor’s arc

What We Do In The Shadows is a vampire mocumentary that airs on FX and Hulu. Due to the show’s humour, not to mention its numerous celebrity cameos, it is a firm favourite of anyone who has watched it. Therefore it wasn’t a big surprise when it got renewed for a fourth season ahead of the season 3 premiere. We are too early to know when it will release, but we can expect a Fall 2022 date at the earliest.

Season 3 was mainly about the bad blood and misadventures between Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Nandor (Kayvan Novak). With the help of the floating woman, or to use her proper position, the Vampire Council Guide, both Nadja and Nandor became Staten Island council leaders. However, before they could settle into their roles, the unexpected death (and rebirth) of Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) in the penultimate episode shook things up. And now, they will have to take a new course for the rest of their journey.

Meanwhile, Nandor had his own set of hiccups and his arc was mainly about his romantic escapades. Every episode saw him hit a new low. It began with him trying to ask out Meg, his crush at the 24-hour gym, then his toxic on-and-off relationship with Gail, and then his involvement with a cult and its leader, Jan.

The makers have teased that we can see more about Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) and some of his backstory. His family will also be appearing. More nightmarish creatures will also be present in this season. The story will likely continue with the season 3 storyline, with Nandor wanting to find out more about himself by leaving Staten Island. He asks Guillermo to accompany him. Meanwhile, Nadja gets offered a position at the Supreme Vampire Council in London, and would have to shift if she wants the job. However, she doesn’t know that Laszlo (Matt Berry) won’t be joining her.

Season 4 will have our main characters at different places. Nadja has the council, Laszlo has to take care of the infant Colin Robinson, and Nandor is looking to turn Guillermo into a vampire. Things are looking to be more exciting.
