Fans of Viola Davis are more than excited as Davis features in a strong role in her upcoming movie. Clearly, the look was for the historic drama The Woman King. Viola shared two official pics of her strong and fierce look from the upcoming movie. Evidently, everyone on social media looked excited to see her in a whole new look.
The Woman King soon to hit the theatres
Coming under the Sony’s Tristar Pictures, The Woman King is going to portray the story of a fierce lady king who along with her battalion fights for the rights of her community. Moreover, the historical story is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.
Beside this, the movie The Woman King will be complete in a few months and has been allotted a release date too. However, you can’t expect the movie before the fall of this year as it plans for September release on 16th.
Viola Davis shares her fierce look from The Woman King
Starring alongside many other cast Viola Davis shared her pics from the historical movie on Twitter. Certainly, she looked fierce in the costume of traditional African community as she can be seen heading towards her enemy.
Davis would be playing the role of Nanisca in the movie who would be the leader of the female battalion that fights for their rights and takes revenge for the harm caused to their community. Davis shared her pic from the movie and expressed her honour for playing the role that portrays much of power and strength.
Alongside Davis, Lashana Lynch, John Boyega, Adrienne Warren, Sheila Atim would be joining as the cast. Thuso Mbedu would play a crucial role as Nawi with Viola. Nonetheless, Davis is also co-producing The Woman King this time.
