What to expect

The film begins when the corpse of a woman floats on the coast of a Croatian town. Unbeknownst to that Beth must go on a weekend getaway with her newborn daughter and best friend Kate. The two friends have now been with each other since college days in England and it is here that Beth introduced her husband, Rob, to Kate.

The story revolves around Kate and the aftermath of her fallen marriage. After the birth of Beth’s daughter, Aster, their lives changed. By the time their weekend is over, one of their friends dies. And then the real thriller begins.

The film follows the thriller theme of the 90s with lots of unexpected plot twists where the character gets entangled with new challenges and tries to come out of them.

The best part of the film is its Croatian backdrop with bright and sunny backgrounds. Though it is a thriller, we cannot miss the postcard-perfect background theme with the deadly story.

However, the movie’s ends with a major twist but if you are a fan of thriller films and good at predicting the end, it would be an easy job for you.

Whether you read the novel or not, you’ll definitely binge on this Netflix thriller once. Overall it is a good mystery and can be seen once.
