The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power GOT Rivalling

Amazon is ready to release The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power which is based on the stories of the writer J. R. R. Tolkien. This American television series will premiere on Prime Video on September 2, this year.

It was announced that this series will feature a scene of Game of Thrones rivalling. There is no doubt that the two shows share some similarities. Both the shows fall under the genre of historical fantasy. There is much anticipation surrounding the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and it is plausible that it might be as successful as Game of Thrones.

The Rings of Power Premise

The upcoming Amazon series is set in the second age of Middle earth, a time 3000 years before The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. It will feature the rise of Dark Lord, the story of Númenor and the union between the Elves and Men.

Events similar to Game of Thrones might occur in the upcoming The Rings of Power as well. It is also teasing such occurrences.

Will The Rings of Power Follow the Footsteps of GOT?

Since both these shows belong in the same category, it is highly likely that the Prime Video series could also be a cultural phenomenon. Through the strong, unpredictable and more than spirited characters, Lord of the Rings could go down a similar path as Game of Thrones. It is highly likely that the show will feature upsetting deaths and some gruesome scenes as the characters allow the creator to do so.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power was announced officially by Amazon Prime on January 19. This show would be given some credit initially due to the legacy of the movies.
