The Last of Us: Sets to release on HBO on January 15
The most anticipated drama, The Last of Us, is set to release on HBO on January 15th. You’ll be thrilled to hear it will be available as a 4K stream on HBO Max, and the first season he will consist of nine episodes.
The drama has an amazing cast of actors Pedro Pascal as Joel, Vera Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Anna Torv as Tess. Nico Parker was offered the role of Sarah, Murray Bartlett was offered the role of Frank, and Nick Offerman was offered the role of Bill.
The remaining cast is Melanie Lynskey as Kathleen, Storm Reid as Riley, Merle Dandridge as Marlene, Jeffrey Pierce as Perry, Lamar Johnson as Henry, Keivonn Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon, and Elaine Miles as Florence including Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker.
Plot:
The story of The Last of Us takes us 20 years into the future, where modern civilization has been completely discarded. The story revolves around a staunch survivor named Joel who is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie. Joel is new to the smuggling business, but as he must traverse the United States and depend on each other to survive, he takes on more difficult opportunities and soon gets better. A little-known fact is that The Last of Us is based on one of the video games originally named as it was developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for the PlayStation platform.
The drama was written by Craig Mazin and executive produced by a group of people including Neil Druckmann, Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Kizilbash, Carter Swann and Rose Lamb. Co-produced by Sony Pictures Television. Production companies include PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint and Naughty Dog.
