The historical drama series by Netflix, The Last Kingdom is ready for the release of its season 4. The show is based upon a very famous novel series by Bernard Cormwell, The Saxon Stories. This articles brings to you everything you are eager to know about the season 4.
When is the show gonna release?
In December 2018, the official Twitter lage of the show announced that it will be renewed for a season 4. Later, in April 2019 it was confirmed by Netflix that shooting for the show had begun. The show will have 10 new episodes. In addition to these, the official Instagram page of the show invited the fans to join Uhtred on Netflix, ‘the next year’ , as the battle is going to continue.
All these things suggest that the show will be releasing this year itself, in 2020. But the official release date is not yet revealed. And the fans are eagerly waiting for the show’s release or at least to get the release date.
What is gonna happen in The Last Kingdom season 4?
The role of central villian in the show is played by Jeppe Beck Lauren. His role is of the scheming Viking leader whose name is Haesten. The actor is humble enough to talk and he is completely different from his onscreen character. He even gave some hints about the upcoming season.
In a recent interview Beck talked about the changes he noticed on the set of The Last Kingdom. He felt like everything was done on a bigger scale although the writers and producers were the same.
Season 4 will have some new young cast members. It includes Uhtredband Gisela’s children. The time to challenge his uncle Aelfric (Joseph Millson) has finally come. Thus, we are gonna see a great battle in the show’s upcoming season.
