The internet is full of surprises. We see TikTokers performing their food and beauty hacks, people connecting over Facebook, Gen Z sending each other snaps, and businesses running on IG. Amidst all this, there are entertaining streaming websites such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime, and Disney Plus where the latest movies and shows can be seen. Everyone from everywhere is on the internet and despite its ever-growing content, to most, old is gold. Many of us want to unwind after a long, stressful week in our pj’s with a good ol’ classic movie to watch from our childhood or teen years, for a laugh, cry, or just time-pass.
The new sensations might be the thing for this generation, but for us old souls, there is nothing that a ‘Classic’ cannot fix. It is worth mentioning the fact that to stream the following movies online, you will have to install a high-speed internet service that enables you to enjoy your movie-time without any interruptions. So, if you are looking for a fast and reliable service, check out Spectrum Internet plans because they come with incredible internet speeds and unlimited data, allowing you to watch as many movies as you like. With that said, let us discuss the classics you should definitely watch (or re-watch!).
1. Titanic
If you have not watched it, you must have heard of it. Based on a true story of a sinking ship, the movie highlights exactly what happened when the Titanic sunk in real life. On-screen Jack, the ship-worker, and the ever so rich Rose do a remarkable job in the movie. From laughter, love, and dances to heartbreak at the end, the movie is a must-watch for all ages. Fun fact: The owner of the fashion brand Macy’s was on-board on the real Titanic and refused to be saved since a lot of women and children were not being rescued. His wife chose to stay with him. They drowned with dignity.

This movie is what made every child in the early 2000’s want to be a hero. The movie revolves around two spy kids figuring their way around the spy life. 3. Legally Blonde
This movie puts the term, “blondes are dumb” to shame. It portrays the story of a queen diva who works her way in fashion and is a trendsetter. However, that is all she knows. The love of her life dumps her because she is not smart and cannot get into Harvard. The protagonist then studies hard to not only get in but also win cases with her clever wit. The man realizes his mistake but now the woman knows her worth. Truly an inspiration for the children these days!

4. Forrest Gump
Tom Hanks is an absolute delight when it comes to this movie. He acts as a rather foreign-to-the-world man, named Forrest who runs as fast he can, away from all that has troubled him, and to his sweetheart Jenny. The movie is truly full of life lessons and memorable quotes. ‘Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you’re gonna get.’ And the ever-famous, ‘I am not a smart man, but I know what love is.’

5. The Prestige
This movie is literally full of magic and illusions, but not just any from the book – the type that leaves the viewers in awe. It revolves around the dispute of two magicians, and trust us, this movie is worth everyone’s watch – it is that good. Not to forget that it has Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansson, David Bowie, and Michael Canne!

6. Home Alone
This one is as classic as it gets. Our favorite boy forgotten by his parents, alone in his house with not a care in the world and two kidnappers/robbers after him! His wacky sense of humor makes this movie a must-add to your list. From running away from the bad men to enjoying a bickering-less home, home alone is a delightful movie for the entire family.

7. The Parent Trap
Everyone believed that there were two of Lindsay Lohan – the cinematography was exceptional. The movie puts all other fairy tales to rest with two sisters switching and planning to bring their parents together. Lindsay gained her fame through this movie as well. We love how most of the classics are great for family hangouts.

8. The Exorcist
People fainted when this movie first came out. It was wrapped in controversies and deaths, so much so, that it was banned across the USA for a good couple of years. Even now, it is not for the faint-hearted. The paranormal movie is based on the book, The Demonologist, which features the real-life story of an exorcism. If you’re into blood-curling movies and don’t mind staying up for a couple of nights – sleepless, with night terrors, then The Exorcist should be your latest watch.
