The smashing pumpkin is on fire since they announced the new about their show in the Walmart AMP on Friday, August 23. Tickets are there to be sold out for the show. This is for the summer tour they are on with former Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher and his band, the High-Flying Birds.
They were formed in Chicago, III. In 1988, the Smashing Pumpkin released their first album “Gish” in 1991 and got the success in their steps in 1993’s four-time multi-platinum “Siamese Dream” and then the ten-time multi-platinum, “Mellon Collie” in 1995 and who can forget their the Infinite Sadness? The band has been one of the most influential bands of all times with more than 30 million albums sold, two- time Grammy, MTV Video music award and American Music Award in their hands.
The lead singer, Billy Corgan, is the one behind the band formation. The most- recent albums of the band is Shiny and Oh So Bright and more released in November last year. They had their momentum of success maintained, and they sold over 300,000 tickets in North America. The tour features Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, and James Iha.
The lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and principal songwriter, Gallagher of the English rock band now, is the lead vocalist and songwriter for the High Flying Birds who released the first of the three EPs for 2019 earlier this year. And his earlier self-titled album in 2011 sold over 2.5 million albums across the world.
AFI rockers in California would be opening the show. AFI has been in the field since the 1990s and has also released a ton of music over the past few years. They hit the top ten single hits including Miss Murder; Girl’s Not Grey since the release of 1995’s album Answer That and Stay Fashionable.
