SKY ONE ORIGINAL SHOW ‘ A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES ‘ AND EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ITS NEW UPCOMING SEASON

‘A Discovery of Witches’ is a Sky One Original show that gained immense popularity amongst the audience with just its first season with over 2 million viewers. The love story of Diana and Matthew swept people off their feet so much that the show has already been signed up for two more seasons.

The study is based on Debora Harkness’s ‘All Souls Literary Trilogy.’ The writers of the second season are Sarah Dollar and Susie Conklin, while the executive producers are Conklin herself, along with Lachlan MacKinnon, Deborah Harkness, and Bad Wolf Production Company’s co-founders Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner. While no particular date has been revealed until now, the show is said to be released in 2020. The female protagonist, played by Teresa Palmer, confirmed that the shooting has already begun in July.

Many were worried that it might get delayed due to Palmer’s pregnancy, but no such news has been confirmed by the makers of the show. While most of the shooting for the first season was done in Whales, the new season is being shot majorly in the Gloucestershire Cathedral. The second season shall follow the storyline of ‘Shadow of Night,’ and the third season is said to be based on ‘The Book of Life.’

The new season shall see the faces as the protagonists i.e., Teresa Palmer as Diana Bishop and Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont. Other characters include Sarah Bishop played by Alex Kingston, Emilie Mather played by Valerie Pettiford, Nathaniel Wilson played by Daniel Ezra, Sophie Norman played by Aisling Loftus, Miriam Shepherd played by Aiysha Hart, Marcus Whitmore played by Edward Bluemel, Ysabeau de Clermont played by Lindsay Duncan, Satu Järvinen played by Malin Buska and others. According to the makers, the series still has a lot to discover about Matthew’s past and Diana’s powers. It’s indeed hard to keep patience when the plot seems so interesting.
