Sometimes when people disappear from the limelight, they lose their charm. However, it is not true for the Irish singer Sinead O’Connor. O’Connor after a long time, stepped on the stage of Ireland’s “Late Late Show” and, made everyone speechless with her performance.
The 52-year-old singer was making a comeback from her public struggles with mental illness.
O’Connor at Late Late show:
At the Late Late Show, O’Connor was mesmerizing while performing her 1990 songs “Nothing Compares 2 U” and “Rainy Night in Soho.” The show host Ryan Tubridy and Connor also engaged in many conversations.
O’Connor explained her feelings to Ryan. She said, “I thought nobody was going to buy any tickets to the shows. I thought I wouldn’t even get any shows, that nobody would even hire me to do shows after being out so long.”
O’Connor’s change of religion:
O’Connor was initially a Christian but, then she converted to Muslim.
She explained to Ryan that she didn’t convert so much as revert.
She said the word revert refers to the idea that, if you study the Quran, you would realize that you were a Muslim all your life and you didn’t realize it. She also added that when she was growing up, Ireland was religiously more oppressed as of now.
O’Connor plans:
She has an upcoming tour of Ireland in October, which will be followed by her U.S. tour. She is also working on a new studio album.
Fans reaction:
O’Connor was so amazing that fans couldn’t stop themselves from talking about it. The fans went onto twitter and other platforms to show their support and love for O’Connor.
