New Release Highlights
Movies
Avid readers of our site will notice quite a few re-additions this month but some are good enough that we won’t say anything. First up, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring returns for the second time in 2018 after we said that it wouldn’t be back because Hulu now had all three movies. Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank star in 2004’s fantastic boxing drama, Million Dollar Baby. The best equivalent for the movie is that it’s an Oscar-worthy Rocky. Finally, for the kids, we have The Golden Compass which saw the book of the same name get its big screen debut back in 2007.
TV Series
The Netflix Original series make up the majority of the new TV additions this month. Jason Bateman’s tense thriller series Ozark gets its second season at the tail-end of the month. We’ll also see the debut season of Disenchantment which comes from the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama. We’ll also get two updates from The CW. The first is the final season of The Originals that’ll arrive in the middle of the month and we’ll also get the new epic season of The 100 too. Our final TV pick is NBC’s The Good Place which will see the second season finally added in August.
