The recent buzz about Will Smith playing the iron-willed character of Richard Williams has attracted much attention.
Richard is the father of Venus and Serena Williams. The movie is in an upcoming biopic led by Warner Bros. ‘King Richard’ is going to tell a story about a father whose strong will, and desire was able to change his daughters’ lives and their journey on how they became the best.
Although, the cast members are somewhat selected yet the team didn’t announce who was going to play the role of young Serena and Venus in this movie. So, recently the movie-makers have announced the names of the actors who are going to play these roles. Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton are going to depict the real-life struggle the sisters faced in the journey to becoming the best as young Serena and Venus Williams.
The movie is going to be directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, other than that it also announced that Aunjanue Ellis is also going to join the cast as Brandi Williams, the matriarch of Williams family. King Richard is a movie of Westbrook Studios and Star Thrower in co-production, with producers Tim White, Trevor White, James Lassiter, and Allan Mandelbaum along with Jada Pinkett Smith and Caleb Pinkett.
The film is about a father’s dream and his daughters’ struggle on becoming the world’s best tennis players and the kind of obstacles and hardships they endured to achieve the stardom. It is going to be on the screens on November 25, 2020.
