Run the World actress Andrea Bordeaux leaves show
After receiving a lot of love from the pilot season, Starz’s comedy series Run the World is all set to begin the production process for Season 2. However, Lionsgate Television revealed a news which can be disappointing for fans.
According to the television company, the audience will not get to see Bordeaux in the 2nd season.
Sources say that Andrea’s exit from the show is due to the new COVID protocols on the show.
Bordeaux denied to comply with Lionsgate’s vaccine mandate
The world famous entertainment company requires all cast and crew members working in Zone A a to be fully vaccinated. Apparently, Lionsgate tried to have a conversation with the NCIS: Los Angeles actress about the matter regarding her concern about the protocols.
However, both the parties could not find any workable solution or any reasonable way for accommodation. Ultimately the actress had to exit from the series.
Andrea Bordeaux speaks up about the matter
Referring to her leaving the show, Andrea commented that Lionsgate made no efforts to find a workable solution. And hence, she was fired. The Rizzoli & Isles star further added that she is always in support of people around the world who feel they are losing so much because of a choice they made and their decision to honour their core beliefs.
Bordeaux also said playing Ella on Run the World has been a dream come true for her. She said she would have loved you continue and grow with the wonderful character but the sharp turn in her life and dreams was heart-breaking. Showering the cast and crew with her best wishes, Bordeaux said she will always have lots of love for them.
Andrea’s role on the show will not be recast. However, it is not clear yet how the storyline will handle the departure of one of the four leads.
