Nu-metal legends Deftones are back with a bang as they have a piece of exciting news for their fans.
The American experimental rock group announced their upcoming tour this summer on the 11th of February. The band consists of elites that include Poppy, and Gojira will feature in North America’s tour that is set to commence this summer.
With the release of their album Gore in the year 2016, Deftones hosted two editions of the ‘Dia de Los Deftones’ music festival in California, where Gojira had worked with them before.
According to Loudwire, in the month of November, Deftones are glad as they confirmed a new album release where frontman Chino Moreno said that the new one would definitely be out the next year, and he is hoping that he will make it somewhere earlier this year.
On album’s release, the as-yet-unnamed LP ought to be the ninth studio album from the band and their first after four years following the album ‘Gore.’
The twitter fans could not resist themselves to share the exciting comments saying, “Oh my God… I’ve waited so long to be able to catch you guys, and I’m freaking out” and “Literally the sickest tour ever.”
A number of comments were at the idea of the band being joined by the stars Gojira and Poppy, saying, “With Poppy? Damn, that’s so cool, I Love metal Poppy” and “The mighty Deftones…with Poppy. Well, now I can say I’ve heard everything. This will be most interesting indeed.”
Poppy recently released her first mental inspired album I Disagree last month while Gojira has been working on their first album since Magma that released a couple of years ago.
