Marvel fans are happy and excited to see their favorite MCU villain return, but the question on everyone’s mind is how is Loki alive in the post Endgame universe? Let’s recall one of the heartbreaking and critical moments of Avengers Infinity War when Loki is strangled to his death by Thanos.

In Avengers Endgame:

With time travel and the time heist strategy, we get to revisit 2012 Loki, during the New York attack, of Avengers and see him vanish with the Tesseract. And since this changes the original timeline, fans speculate that Loki survived Thanos and Endgame.

What Rumors Say about Loki Storyline?

Rumors around the plot of the series, have storylines like Loki being chased by Captain America, with the aim to correct the original timeline and return the infinity stone to its correct period. And so again, MCU will be seen dealing with concepts of multiverses and segmented realities.

Reports state that the Disney Plus series “will follow Loki as the trickster and shape-shifter who pops up throughout human history as an unlikely influence on historical events.” This confirms that while our original Loki might have died and is dead in the original storyline, this alternate Loki is alive and as mischievous and dangerous to reckon with. The series will have Rick and Morty writer, Michael Waldron as its showrunner. The much-awaited series is set to release in Spring of 2021.
