Problematic pace of Brad Pitt and Leonardo Dicaprio starer “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” ? Not as good as Tarantino’s previous films!

‘Once upon a time in Hollywood’, is a comedy-drama film which released on August 14, 2019. The film is directed by Quentin Tarantino. Not only he has directed the film, but he has also written it. The film is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing and was produced by Heyday Films, Columbia Pictures, and Bona Film Group.

The international co-production between the United States and the United Kingdom stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradd Pitt, Emile Hirsch, Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, Margaret Qualley, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, and Bruce Dern. The film is set in Los Angeles and goes back to 1969.

The plot of the film revolves around a television actor who is aging with time. He along with his stunt double and a friend trace and track the Hollywood industry changes. This film is a tribute to the final moments of the golden age of Hollywood.

Both the heart-throbs of Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Leonardo Dicaprio, have offered themselves in a good form. The duo has portrayed emotional, funny and layered performances in the film. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the role of Dalton whereas Brad  Pitt plays the role of Booth.

Dalton who was once known to be a famous television actor is now all destroyed with alcohol. Cliff Booth is shown as the only friend of Dalton who is more than a brother and less than a wife to Dalton.

IMDb has given the film a rating of 8.3 out of 10. The film has also received some negative reviews. The pace of the film turned out to be problematic. Though there are elements in the movie, they do not seem to be part of the fabric and exist individually.

This was the first film of Tarantino which was not into any association with Harvey Weinstein. The director of the film decided to cut ties with Harvey after the allegations of sexual molestation on him.
