During their final date when Peter and Alayah were relishing their alone time, Peter was told by Sydney that all the affection and love Alayah has been pouring on him is nothing but a facade as current Miss. Texas wants to win over Peter for some personal gain.

In the final date that took place where Peter chatted with Alayah for the last time before elimination, he explained that his biggest fear in all that is falling for someone and then getting to the end and realizing that they’re not really who they were showing him. “And I just can’t let that happen to myself. I… I have to guard my heart,” the 28-year-old pilot affirmed.

Alayah who was shocked by Sydney’s confrontation attempted to justify herself and clear her stance. The Texas resident describing her feelings, told Peter that she feels drawn to him, and every time she looks at him, she gets butterflies, and she gets so excited. “I can’t fake feelings. I can’t fake emotions… I’m a horrid liar,” were her final words before the elimination process.

Feeling agonized and conflicted over Alayah, Peter unwillingly let her go in the intense rose ceremony after deep contemplation and chose to let Mykenna stay. From his knowledge of some previous seasons, he was wary of the ulterior motives with which some contestants join in.

However, the bachelor almost instantly regretted his decision of letting her go. He was seen talking with one of the executive producers where he told that he doesn’t know if he has made the right choice. He doesn’t know if he wants her to leave right now, Peter said, and kept repeating that he doesn’t feel good.

In a state of extreme worry, he said that he thinks he gave in to the listening of everybody. Visibly worried, he said that he feels he was going to regret his decision “like crazy,” and that he won’t get past over her going home “for a while.”
