Babylon- Margot Robbie & Brad Pitt’s twisted life in Hollywood
The movie by Paramount, “Babylon” stars Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie who are in the late 1920s, and depicts the shift between silent films to “talkies” in the motion picture business as a result of the development of the synchronized presentation. Pitt is a silent movie star of that era while Robbie is a legendary figure from the Jazz Age. Dealing with their position in the industry they are compelled to deal with the changes occurring in Hollywood all around them.
The story follows the rise and fall of several people during a time of unrestrained luxury and depravity in early Hollywood where oversized ambition and outrageous excess exists.
Both the actors are squashed between the “high art” perspective version of Hollywood, and with such huge change happening in the race of their life, Robbie’s character accesses it by stating “make it on my terms, not theirs” kind of vibe.
The recent trailer of Babylon also features a scene in which Margot Robbie is portrayed as a Hollywood bombshell star in the late 1920s.
With Bard Pitt battling off and falling from a balcony in his underpants in a pool and side by side topless ladies and bold moves of the actresses are few among the early roots of Hollywood that are represented in the trailer, along with the high sound of music and nonstop going activity.
Written and directed by Chazelle, Babylon explores the ups and downs of various people as it shows the movie industry’s shift according to generation development. He, who was 32 at the time of La La Land, made history by being the youngest director to receive the Best Director Oscar. It appears like Chazelle is trying his luck by keep going on to the Oscars one more time with “Babylon.”
